OUR STORY

Readability Hub was founded by Liesl Hodgens and Antonia McCurdy in 2020. We met 2 years ago and shared a love for linguistics, literacy and all things speech and language related. We are passionate about early intervention and making a change and creating something new. We are Science of Reading converts and stay up to date with the newest research through our professional memberships and professional groups and ongoing professional development. We aim to always keep our knowledge and teaching up to date with evidence based methods.   We both have pre-school and school aged children and love working with kids. We felt  that there was a gap in the market for a service that offered small group early literacy instruction for children using a structured, multisensory language approach. Our classes are aimed at struggling readers and writers and designed in a way that all children can learn especially but not just those with learning difficulties like dyslexia or coexisting conditions (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental language disorder (DLD), autism (ASD)).
